奈曼旗位于内蒙古自治区东部，科尔沁沙地南缘，毗邻辽宁省，处于东北、华北接合部，全旗区域面积8137.5平方公里，总人口43万。方圆600公里内有通辽、阜新、赤峰、北京、沈阳、长春等大中城市。京通铁路、赤通高速公路、国道111线贯穿全境，交通便利，通讯发达。

奈曼文化积淀深远厚重。古为东胡、匈奴、乌桓、鲜卑、契丹、蒙古等北方民族游牧之地。“奈曼”元史称作“乃蛮”，元太祖19世嫡裔额森伟入据该地域，就以“奈曼”为所部号。清太宗崇德元年（1636年），皇太极将奈曼部划分为旗，袭用原名，称“奈曼旗”。

奈曼人文、自然景观独特。南部群山巍峨，中部沙海茫茫，北部草原辽阔，七条较大河流蜿蜓流淌，大小水库星罗棋布。境内有内蒙古自治区迄今保存最完整的清代王府，建国以来辽代文化最重要的考古发现—陈国公主墓；全国较大的沙漠湖，郁郁葱葱、一望无际的沙漠森林；千姿百态的沙漠怪柳；自然纯朴、源源流长的民族风情；肉质鲜美、形容俊秀、驰名中外的红尾鲤鱼；神奇灵通的中华麦饭石。群山、沙海、草原、碧水、森林和人文景观，共同构成了奈曼独特的旅游风光，塑造了人与自然完美的和谐统一，构建了以生态观光、休闲度假、历史古迹、宗教文化、民族风情等为产品的旅游产业新格局。

A bright pearl in the Keerqin sand sea —Nai Man.

Nai Man Banner is located in the eastern part of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,to the south of the Keerqin Sand ,adjoining Liaoning province and at the joint of northeast China and north China .The banner has an area of 8137.5 square kilometers with a population of 430 thousand.Within a circumference of 600 kilometers, there are some big or medium—sized cities such as Tongliao , Fuxin,Chifeng ,Bei jing ,Shenyang and Changchun.The banner boasts convenient communications with Jing—Tong Railway, Chi—Tong Expressway and National Rood 111 running through the whole area .

Nai Man Banner enjoys rich culture deposites. In ancient times ,it was a nomadic place of northern nationalities such as East Hu ,Xiong Nu , crow Huan ,Xian Bei,khitan and Mongolia .“Nai Man”was called “Being Valiant”in the Yuan dynasty. Eesenwei ,closely related descendant of the 19th generation of Emperor Tai Zu occupied the area and named it “Nai Man”as the name of his tribe in the first year of Chong De of Tai Zong of the Qing dynasty 1636,Huang Tai ji divided the Nai Man tribe and Nai Man took over its plain name -“Nai Man Banner”

Nai Man humanity and scenery are unique. Hills are lofty in the south; the sand sea in boundless in the middle part ;in the north the grassland is vast in extent. Seven bigger rivers flow zigzag. Big and small reservoirs are as numerous as stars and checkers on the chessboard. In Nai Man Banner, there is a well-preserved Qing Monarch Mansion and a Chen Guo Princess grave of the Liao Period-the most important archaeological finding. We also have a bigger desert lake nation -wide where red-tail carp known at home and abroad are delicious.Besides willows with strange postures and China medical stone are our specialities.In a word ,hills ,the sand sea the grassland ,green waters, forests and humanity landscapes jointly form Nai Man’s unique tourism, mould the harmony of human being and nature and build a new tourist pattern based on eco-tourism, leisure holiday-making,historical relics religious culture and ethnic feeling .
